Issue: Monitor Goes to Power Save, Can’t Access BIOS

Power Status

  • Power LED solid (not blinking)
  • System fans spinning

  • Monitor input set correctly

BIOS Key Sequence

Try these keys immediately after power on:

  • DEL (most common)
  • F7 (MS-A2 specific)
  • F2
  • F12 (boot menu)
  • ESC

CMOS Reset (Most Likely Fix)

  • Clear CMOS via jumper
  • Or remove battery for 30 seconds
  • Power on and try BIOS access

USB Configuration

  • Remove all USB devices except keyboard

Step-by-Step Resolution

Step 1: CMOS Reset

  1. Power off and unplug MS-A2
  2. Open case (4 corner screws)
  3. Locate CMOS jumper or battery
  4. Clear CMOS (jumper method or battery removal)
  5. Close case and power on

Step 2: USB-C Display

  1. Disconnect HDMI
